Charleston Police say two women were shot during a fight on the West Side Saturday morning.

Officers say Michael Ginther, 29, fired a shotgun full of pellets at a group of people standing on Madison Street around 7 a.m.

Police add that Ginther was angry after witnessing his niece smoking marijuana with several others in the street.

Two women standing nearby were hit by the pellets. Police say they suffered minor injuries and refused medical attention.

Police arrested Ginther. He is charged with two counts of malicious wounding.
