Nicholas County wreck kills 1 - WOWK 13 Charleston, Huntington WV News, Weather, Sports

One man was killed in a single-vehicle wreck at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday in Nicholas County.

James Edward Lawson was driving northbound on U.S. Route 19 in the  Birch River area, according to the Nicholas County Sheriff's Department.

Lawson was taken to Summerville Regional Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead, deputies said.

The Nicholas County Sheriff's Department is investigating what caused the accident.
