Cabell County Sheriff Tom McComas made a stop Monday that led to an arrest after he saw a marijuana plant through the back window of a passing car.
Milton Police Department officers ended up arresting William Fulknier, 21, of Dunbar, and charging him with cultivation of marijuana, according to police.
McComas stopped the black Volkswagen on U.S. Route 60, police said. Fulknier agreed to let police search his car.
When they did, officers found three marijuana plants in a clay pot, according to police. Some were more than 4 feet tall.
Police also said they found drug paraphernalia, including a black light, four smoking pipes and a gas mask converted to a smoking device.
Fulknier said he was moving to a new residence in Huntington, police said.
