Heart disease continues to be one of the biggest health challenges to West Virginians, according to the Centers For Disease Control.
An effort to combat the disease and raise awareness is happening later this month.
The Spencer-Roane Heart Walk is scheduled to take place Aug. 25 at Roane General Hospital.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. according to organizers. The walk begins at 9 a.m.
