No one should be upset because no one picked the correct numbers to win the large Powerball jackpot last night. It didn't stop people from walking up to the lottery outlets to buy a chance at a multi-million
Tonight marks the ninth anniversary of the first of the Kanawha Valley sniper killings.
A vigil is scheduled for 7-10 p.m. at the Campbell's Creek Speedway, the site one of the three sniper killings. The first of the shootings took place Aug. 14, 2003 at the GoMart on Bigley Avenue in Charleston.
Gary Carrier, 44, Jeanie Patton, 31, and Okey Meadows, 26 died in the shootings.
Shawn Lester was arrested in early 2011 in connection with the shootings. He pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the case last month.
