A woman accused of crashing her car while high on drugs and with her child in the car is behind bars.

South Charleston Police charged Tamara Garrison, 24, with child neglect with risk of injury, permitting DUI of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.

Police said Garrison crashed her car on state Route 622 in Cross Lanes while she was high on marijuana and xanax. Her child was also in the car.

Police said Garrison didn't get her child medical attention after the accident happened.

Garrison is in the South Central Regional Jail with bail set at $50,000.
