Early morning fire in Scioto County ruled arson

A fire that happened early morning on Wednesday in Scioto County, Ohio, has been ruled arson.

According to a press release from the Ohio Department of Commerce, a house caught fire shortly before 3 a.m. on Wednesday on Locust Street in Wheelersburg. Neighbors saw the house on fire and called the fire department. No one was in the home at the time.

State Fire Marshal investigators ruled it arson after they found evidence that it was intentionally set.

A Blue Ribbon Arson Reward of up to $5,000 is being offered to anyone with information on who may have set the fire.
