The South Charleston Public Library is working with kids to tell a story about kindness to others.
A sock drive inspired by the movie "The Odd Life of Timothy Green" is under way. The movie opened nationwide on Wednesday and stars Charleston native Jennifer Garner.
Organizers were at Marquee Cinema at Southridge, accepting donations, as part of the opening day events.
All of the socks collected are being donated to the Union Mission. They go to residents at Crossroads Men's Shelter and the Brookside Shelter for Women and Children.
