A man is facing charges after a police chase early Wednesday morning.
Corey Dalton, 24, of Scott Depot, was wanted on assault charges, according to police.
Putnam County Sheriff's Deputies said he took off when they tried to arrest him. Dalton led deputies from Nitro to Cross Lanes at speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour.
The chase ended with Dalton wrecking his vehicle, but then he ran from the scene, according to deputies. Dalton was later captured and cuffed. He is charged with driving under the influence, fleeing DUI, fleeing on foot, reckless driving, driving on a suspended license and leaving the scene of an accident.
