Two men were stabbed Thursday night at the Charleston Transit Mall, according to police.

Lavar Towns, 32, and Billy Williams, 31, both of Charleston, walked to St. Francis Hospital after the 11:30 p.m. attack, according to Charleston Police. One was stabbed in the arm, the other in the abdomen.

Towns and Williams said they don't know who attacked them, police said.

At the time of the attack, a Charleston police officer heard people screaming at the Transit Mall, police said. Police reported that there was an argument about a girl.

Towns and Williams got off a transit bus when they were approached by a group of black men, police said. An argument started and one man was punched just before the stabbings.
