Two men are facing arson charges after a house fire in Huntington
early Friday morning.
Police arrested Brian J. Johnson, 35, of Proctorville,
Ohio, and Mark A. Sowards, 38, of Huntington,
according to a news release from the Huntington Police Department.
The men were seen running from a house fire in the 1100
block of 21st Street,
according to the news release. Huntington
police and West Virginia State Police troopers arrested them on 20th
Street.
Johnson and Sowards are facing first-degree arson charges,
the news release states.
The home they are accused of burning was abandoned,
according to the news release. No injuries were reported and moderate damage
was done to the home..
