Judge orders mental evaluation for Charles March; trial set for Dec. 10

Kanawha County Circuit Court Judge Duke Bloom ordered accused murderer Charles March to undergo a psychiatric evaluation and set his trial date for later this year.

March is accused of killing Kathy Goble and burying her in a shallow grave on his property in 2010. The grave was found earlier this summer.

Bloom set March's trial to begin at 8:30 a.m. Dec. 10.

March was in court for his arraignment, which originally was scheduled for last Friday. It had to be postponed, however, after what corrections officials said was a suicide attempt. He was wheeled into court this afternoon on a stretcher because of his injuries.
