The northbound lane of I-77 near the Mahan area of Fayette County is shut down due to a tractor trailer accident. The accident is within a couple miles of the Kanawha County line.

Around 10:30 p.m. Friday, police were called to a scene of a stabbing at the corner of Morris Street and Kanawha Boulevard in Charleston.
According to police, a jogger had spotted the victim after he had been stabbed in the throat; the victim was later transported to Charleston Area Medical Center.
The name of the victim has not been released at this time, and it is not known if any arrests have been made.
