The Kentucky National Guard welcomed home 225 soldiers from the 1204th Aviation Support Battalion returning from Kuwait Saturday.

The ceremony took place at the Florence Freedom Baseball Field in Florence, Kentucky, according to a press release from the Kentucky National Guard.

"These soldiers served honorably," said Lt. Col. Tom Roach, 1204th ASB Commander. "From Iraq to Kuwait to Qatar to Jordan and Afghanistan, they've added to the historic legacy of the Kentucky National Guard."

While in Kuwait, the 1204th's goal was to give logistical, maintenance and signal support for military operations in the Persian Gulf region.
