The Cabell Wayne Association for the Blind (CWAB) hosted their 10th annual 5K Walk for Sight Saturday morning in Huntington.

The event at Ritter Park not only raises awareness about members of the community who are visually impaired, but it also raises funds for the organization. The association offers free services and receives grants. Events like this to generates more funding to help with the cost.

The event was to let people know that the visually impaired are active in the community.

"Blind and visually impaired people are out here in the community doing their daily things. Working, playing, and doing social things. The blind and visually impaired are really an active group of individuals out here in the tri-state," said Paul Slone, director of CWAB.
