Traffic is moving smoothly once again on Corridor G at Oakwood Road. Emergency crews have cleared the wreckage from early this morning.
UPDATE
Emergency crews tell 13 News that a Nissan Altima and a white pickup truck collided on Corridor G when the driver of the truck ran a red light and hit the Altima that was crossing lanes toward a 7/11 gas station.
The truck went airborne after the collision and went over an embankment.
Crews say the driver of the truck was transported to the hospital.
Two two people from the Altima were transported as well, after crews helped get them out of the car where they were entrapped.
No word on the extent of injuries.
ORIGINAL STORY
Two vehicles crashed on Corridor G and Oakwood Road in Charleston according to dispatchers.
The accident happened at about 1:30 Monday morning.
Dispatchers say emergency crews shut down the southbound lane of Corridor G and are working to get trapped people out of one of the vehicles that went over an embankment near a 7-Eleven gas station.
