No one should be upset because no one picked the correct numbers to win the large Powerball jackpot last night. It didn't stop people from walking up to the lottery outlets to buy a chance at a multi-million
One person in Kanawha
County has been diagnosed with the
salmonella virus connected to the recent salmonella outbreak linked to Indiana
cantaloupes.
In the latest outbreak, two people have died and 141 have fallen ill in 20
states in a salmonella outbreak linked to contaminated cantaloupe grown in
southwestern Indiana, according
to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Thirty-one victims have been
hospitalized. Both deaths were in Kentucky.
Last year's epidemic was caused by cantaloupes contaminated with listeria, from
Colorado's Jensen Farms,
according to the CDC.
