West Virginia American Water has issued a precautionary boil water advisory for about 50 customers on Cavill Creek Road in Salt Rock.

According to a press release, crews are working to repair a water main break on McComas Road.

Customers are asked boil water used for drinking, cooking, bathing, showering and brushing teeth to a full boil for a minimum of one minute, then cool before use.

They also recommend that customers throw away beverages and ice cubes made with tap water, store boiled water in the refrigerator, and give pets boiled water after cooling.
