CHARLESTON, West Virginia -
A Danville man will spend a year and a half in prison for plans to distribute oxycodone, according to a news release from U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin's office.
Gary Proffitt, 55, pleaded guilty in March to possession of 28 oxycodone pills, and told investigators he planned to sell them in Boone County. He was sentenced Monday in federal court.
The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) led the investigation.
