Let Don do it: Ohio Pine - WOWK 13 Charleston, Huntington WV News, Weather, Sports

Recently, a Mother from Crown City, Ohio, asked our Don Hammond for some help and he said, "Let Don do it."

The mom was concerned that the row of tall pines she had on the edge of her property was ready to topple over and do damage to her neighbors house. Somehow they got spared from the strong summer storms but they feared next time they would not be so lucky.

Don could not cut all the trees down but, was able to climb to the top of one tree. Tie a rope around it. Then he made a cut at the bottom and pulled the tree right where he wanted it away from the house and pool and on to an open part of the yard.

The woman's son was suffering from two hernia's as well as some weight loss issues. However, for the added exercise he said he could manage to help clean up the brush pile made from cutting the tree up into little pieces.

The family thanked Don for helping even though there appears to be much more work that still needs to be done.
