Police in Charleston are trying to find the person who passed a counterfeit $50 at a convenience store Monday evening.

An unidentified white man in his late 40s to early 50s left the fake bill at the One Stop Exxon at 129 Lee St. West, according to a news release from the Charleston Police Department. He was driving a red pickup truck.

Those with information about the man's identity are asked to call the Charleston Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division at 304-348-6480.
