RAVENSWOOD, West Virginia -

The estimated 700 striking Constellium workers filed for unemployment benefits Tuesday.

In a statement, WorkForce West Virginia said the applications would be reviewed by a three person panel on a Labor Dispute Tribunal.

"They just signed us up," said Constellium equipment operator Jesse McClure. "I think we'll get them."

Employees were told to expect a decision by mid-September.
