A Nicholas County man has been found guilty of first-degree murder.
Jurors found Gary Rollins guilty of first-degree murder Tuesday afternoon after brief deliberation.
Teresa Rollins was found dead in a family pond in 2009. The case was originally thought to be an accident, but was re-opened as a murder investigation.
Prosecutors told jurors Rollins killed his wife by drowning her and making it look as if a tree had fallen on top of her.
The family of Teresa Rollins hired Cyril Wecht, famed forensic pathologist to exhume the body. Wecht testified Friday that Rollins likely died from an attack.
