Things are getting busy in Guyandotte this weekend.
The annual Swinefest kicks off with a parade at 8 p.m. Thursday.
The event features carnival rides, games, and food and novelty vendors.
Pulled pork dinners will be available at the VFW each day.
One food vendor says their group is trying to raise money to start a food pantry.
She says the Evan's Heavenly Harvest is named for a man form their church who helped feed others before passing away.
This year's theme is "Guyandotte Gets Scared" and features a zombie walk and dance on Saturday.
