UPDATE
A fire at a multi-unit building in South Charleston destroyed one apartment on Thursday evening.
The tenants said that what the fire didn't get, the water did. They weren't going to be able to stay in the apartment.
The South Charleston Fire Department responded to the blaze.
No one was injured.
The fire department is still investigating what may have started the fire.

The South Charleston Police Department is asking motorists to avoid the area of 5206 MacCorkle Ave. SW, near Rock Lake Drive.
Crews were called to a fire in that area earlier in the evening. Callers reported smoke in an apartment building.
