The High School football season kicked off last weekend, but the defending double A Champion Wayne Pioneers had a bye the first week of the season. They start defense of their title this coming Friday when they host Chesapeake Ohio. Coach Tom Harmon has been busy this summer telling his kids that everyone will be gunning to knock off the Champs. "I mean some of the teams we play on our schedule they'd like to beat us." said Harmon, "They prepare very hard for that. You know we try to make sure your kids understand that and they bring it to practice everyday what they need to withstand the scrutiny."
