Ryan Switzer Injury
Update:
In last Friday's 36-24
win over South Charleston, George Washington
senior running back Ryan Switzer left the game early in the first quarter with
a grade one concussion and with a shoulder injury.
Switzer went out for a
pass, but was pushed out of bounds by South Charleston's Trevond Reese.
Switzer returned to for
just one play before leaving for the hospital.
X-rays on his shoulder
we negative with no broke bones.
Ryan's father, Michael
Switzer, told 13 Sports' John Sabol Monday night, that Ryan hasn't felt any
lasting effects from his concussion.
Doctors will reevaluate Switzer's
condition on Wednesday.
He's currently questionable
for this week's game against Ashland Blazer, (Ky).
Prior to his injury,
Switzer had two carries for 68 yards and one touchdown.
Switzer verbally committed to the University of North Carolina back in March.
