The Kanawha-Charleston Health Department will hold an extended school vaccination clinic on Wednesday, Aug. 29.

The walk-in hours will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at 108 Lee St E., according to a press release from the Kanawha-Charleston Health Department.

All students must bring a copy of their vaccination records to the clinic to ensure everyone has the chance to receive the mandated immunizations for school.

As of this year, there are new state requirements for students entering the seventh and twelfth grade. The Department of Education has granted a two-week grace period for all children to receive the proper immunizations. The grace period for Kanawha County School students ends on Friday, Aug. 31.
