No one should be upset because no one picked the correct numbers to win the large Powerball jackpot last night. It didn't stop people from walking up to the lottery outlets to buy a chance at a multi-million
While everybody else kicks off their season on Saturday, the U-C Golden Eagles get things going Thursday night. Wednesday at UC stadium, head coach Pat Kirkland ran his boys through a light run through before tomorrow nights season opener against Shaw University. Coach told us you may not of heard much about Shaw, but they are loaded with athletes.
"Looking at their roster they've got some talent, got some transfers come in in the off season." said Kirkland, "New quarterback transferred from Wisconsin who's got a live arm, so we gotta do a good job pre snap in making his job tough with his ah, where he wants to go with the football. But it really boils down to making sure we execute and do our job." Tailback Jordan Roberts says momentum from last season will carry over. "We finished the year strong last year," said Roberts, "this year we gotta start off strong and finish even stronger."
