Marshall is putting the finishing touches on their game plan for West Virginia on Saturday. The Herd defense will be bracing for the one two punch of Geno Smith and Tavon Austin. Penn State transfer, Defensive Back Derrick Thomas, is used to going up against top flight quarterbacks in the Big 10 but Geno Smith is like no other Quarterback he's ever seen. And he's looking forward to the challenge.
"I haven't seen him on the field. I watched a lot of film on him, he's a very gifted quarterback." said Thomas, "there's really not a pass he can't make and there's not a lot of quarterbacks I can say that about." Thomas continues, "That was my first time really breaking down film on Geno because they was in the Big East and I was in the Big 10, so Geno's a very very nice quarterback."
