Thursday Injury Update: 13 Sports learned Thursday afternoon that
George Washington senior running back Ryan Switzer will not play vs. Ashland
Paul Blazer (KY) on Friday.
Switzer suffered a concussion and bruised shoulder in the first quarter in
last week's 36-24 win over South Charleston.
A team source told 13 Sports that Switzer wasn't feeling any lasting effects
from his concussion, but doctors, and Switzer's parents felt it was best for
Ryan to sit out a week just to be cautious.
Switzer rushed for 68 yards and scored one touchdown in the Patriots 36-24
win over the Black Eagles in week one.
Back in March, Switzer verbally committed to play at the University
of North Carolina.
