A Charleston police officer received a possible concussion in a wreck on Corridor G early Friday afternoon.
The wreck happened at about 1 p.m. at the intersection of Corridor G and Oakwood Road, according to emergency dispatchers.
The officer was taken to the hospital after the wreck. The officer's dog was shaken up in the wreck, but appeared to be uninjured.
The officer hit a truck that was trying to beat a traffic light at the intersection, officials on the scene said.
