LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -

Two Kentucky libraries that were damaged in storms this year have been awarded grants from Kentucky Book Fair Inc.

The grants of $3,750 each were announced at the Kentucky Library Association Conference Thursday in Louisville.

West Liberty Elementary School, which lost its entire library collection in a tornado that devastated the community, will receive funds to buy new books for students. Casey County Public Library's grant will help replace books lost in a storm in July.

This year's book fair is Nov. 10 at the Frankfort Convention Center. Each year, some 4,000 people attend the event, where nearly 200 authors autograph and sell their work.

The event began in 1981 and has awarded more than $350,000 to school and public libraries.
