    Nine Martinsburg, West Virginia, residents and another from Keyser were sentenced to federal prison for breaking the law while they were on supervised release or probation.

It was a battle of the bands in Kanawha County on Tuesday evening.

The annual competition of high school marching bands took place at University of Charleston Stadium at Laidley Field.

This was the 66th year for the Kanawha Valley Band and Majorette Festival and eight bands took part in this year's event.

Awards were handed out in several categories.

Miss County Majorette: Taylor Freeland, George Washington High School

Festival Grand Champion: Capital High School

Marching Bands:

Class AA: 1st Place - South Charleston High School, 2nd Place - Riverside High School, 3rd Place -Sissonville High School 

Class AAA: 1st Place - George Washington High School, 2nd Place - Capital High School, 3rd Place - St. Albans High School

Marshall University's Marching Thunder also performed as part of the show.
