Students at Barboursville Elementary joined together to get a "jump" on exercise.

They got together in the cafeteria for the national JAM event with music and dancing.

JAM stands for "Jump Around a Minute" and is designed as a way for students to have fun while exercising.

Teachers and faculty members also joined in the fun.

"The kids don't even know they're exercising because they're having so much fun." principal Terry Porter said.

The event is supposed to go on across the country.
