Three escape massive fire in a home on Walnut Street in Kanawha County
A Vanceburg woman is dead after an accident on I-64 in Carter County, Kentucky.
It happened Friday around 2:30 p.m. near the 159 mile marker.
According to a press release from Kentucky State Police, Mary Logan was traveling East when her car lost control, ran onto the shoulder striking a guardrail into the path of a tractor-trailer.
The semi hit the car, went through a guardrail and over an embankment.
Logan was pronounced dead at the scene.
reports say she was not wearing a seatbelt.
Multiple agencies responded to the scene and traffic was diverted until the scene was cleared.
Police say driving conditions were wet and visibility was limited from heavy rain.
