St. Albans Police Department to be closed part of Tuesday

The front office of the St. Albans Police Department will be closed part of Tuesday.

The department sent out a text alert on Monday that stated the office will be closed from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m.

A new generator is being installed, and it requires the power to be shut off, according to the text message. As a result, phone service will be interrupted, and the computers will not be operational.

St. Albans Police ask the public to call Metro Communications at 304-357-0191 or 304-348-8111 if necessary. There will not be any interruption response for emergency calls since Metro already dispatches those calls for the department.
