A man accused in a high profile murder case has admitted to his role.

During a hearing Monday in Mason County, Matthew Woods pleaded guilty to second degree murder in the death of Rene Gonzales.

Prosecutors believe Woods, Chad McCallister and Steven Adkins plotted to kill Gonzales because of a relationship between him and McCallister's ex wife. Gonzales was found dead at his home along Route 2 in Gallipolis Ferry in July 2011.

McCallister and Adkins are set to go on trial later this year.
