Power is being restored in Lincoln County, where 884 customers are now without service. That's down from nearly 3,500 earlier Monday evening.
Crews continue working to restore service in Boone County. A transmission line created outages in the two counties.

Nearly 8,400 customers are without power Monday night in Boone and Lincoln counties, according to AEP's website.
In Boone County, 4,932 customers were without service just after 10 p.m. In Lincoln County, outage maps showed 3,459 customers without power.
Emergency dispatchers at both 911 centers said they had no reports of severe weather or accidents into power poles that would have affected electric service.
A call to AEP indicated that the company is aware of the outages and is working to make repairs. The automated message did not specify the cause of the outage or a timeline to restore service.
