The West Virginia Troopers Association Political Action Committee announced Oct. 2 its endorsement of Tish Chafin for West Virginia Supreme Court.

Doug Gunnoe, president of the association, said he and his members "proudly support Tish Chafin for Supreme Court."

"We believe she will rule fairly and work with our members to strengthen public safety in communities across West Virginia," Gunnoe said.

"It's an honor to be endorsed by the men and women who put their lives on the line to keep West Virginians safe," Chafin said. "I am proud to have their support."

The Troopers Association joins a list of several other organizations and PACs that have endorsed Chafin, including the West Virginia Sheriff's Association, Charleston Professional Firefighters and the West Virginia Nurses Association.
