    A tractor trailer is blocking part of Route 2. The road is closed until further notice. Drivers heading in both direction are being asked to use the Big Ben Bowen Highway connector by Target to get around.

Hurricane Middle School dismissed students at 12:30 p.m. for a gas leak.

Gas company crews are trying contain a leak in front of the school according to officials at the scene.

Because of the leak students were evacuated to the football field.

No injuries have been reported because of the leak.

Part of State Route 34 was closed and a Division of Highways worker was injured by a passing car.

The extent of his injuries was not reported.

Frontier Communication crews were installing a utility pole in front of the school when the leak happened.

Frontier officials said they had all the lines in the area marked but they did not know about the one that is leaking.
