A Flatwoods, KY man is charged with 1000 counts of possession of child pornography.
Kentucky State Police in Ashland received a complaint that images of child pornography had been found at a residence on Clay Street in Flatwoods.
During the investigation several thousand images of child pornography were found at the residence and also at separate storage units rented by James K. Raasch.
An arrest warrant was obtained for Raasch, 71 of Flatwoods, on charges of Possession of Matter Portraying Sexual Performance by a Minor (1000 counts).
Police say Raasch was in Florida, but Local authorities were contacted and he was arrested in Clearwater, FL.
The FBI and Flatwoods Police Department also responded and assisted.
The investigation is ongoing by Detective Jeffrey Kelley.
