The northbound lane of I-77 near the Mahan area of Fayette County is shut down due to a tractor trailer accident. The accident is within a couple miles of the Kanawha County line.

The Marmet Fire Department will hold an event to teach youth about fire safety.
That is according to a press release sent to 13 News.
Children and parents are invited to attend on Wednesday, Oct. 10 at 10 a.m. at the fire station. A tour will be provided of the station. Then at 1 p.m., fire prevention videos will be shown.
The theme this year is "Have 2 Ways Out!" That theme will focus on the importance of fire escape planning and practice.
