A string of recent burglaries in one part of our area has some people restless at night, including a woman who says she lost some memories when someone stole her jewelry.
Sabrina Means says some of that jewelry was from her first marriage, and that she has very little jewelry left. The jewelry was taken from her home just outside of St. Albans city limits recently.
Another woman, Vickie Henson says her wheel barrel and other items out of her yard were stolen.
A manager at the D&I Carryout convenience store says it was broken into recently as well. 13 News is told the alarm went off, possibly scaring the burglar from stealing more than the cigarettes they got away with.
The burglaries have people extremely concerned, especially Means.
"I work hard for everything I have. I don't work hard for someone to come in and take my stuff. I'm the kind of person, if you want something, come ask me, don't steal my stuff," said Means.
Means' husband is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest and conviction of the person who walked away with his wife's jewelry.
