CHARLESTON, West Virginia -

Bullying is a serious problem in many schools across the country.

In October the Kanawha County Public Library is recognizing National Bullying Prevention month by shining a spotlight on books about bullying. Books are available for kids of all ages on topics ranging from how to be polite to one another to how to deal with a bully.

"It has been an issue in all of our lives for a long time," said librarian Judy Polak. "More and more authors are writing about it and families are asking for information."

All of the children's books are on display on the 3rd floor of the main branch library in Charleston.

There are also non-fiction books for parents available in the adult collection.
