The West Virginia Pumpkin Festival is under way in Milton. This is the 27th year for the annual event in Cabell County.

More than 50,000 visitors are expected at Pumpkin Park between now and Sunday. In addition to everything pumpkin, the festival offers tents full of arts and crafts, demonstrations, exhibits, food vendors and live entertainment.

Among the popular pumpkin-themed food this year is pumpkin ice cream, pumpkin fudge.

The festival is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
