A Portsmouth woman is facing felony drug charges following a traffic stop Friday in SciotoCounty.

According to a press release sent to 13 News, troopers stopped a 2013 Ford Edge on U.S. 23 southbound, near Lucasville, at approximately 12:54 a.m. for a marked lanes violation. 

Troopers say they observed criminal indicators; after a subsequent search of the vehicle they found71 grams of crack cocaine and 75 grams of marijuana with a combined street value of approximately $7,500.

The driver, Shahara Brown, 30, was charged with possession of crack cocaine.Brown was taken to the Scioto County Jail.
