Sheriff's deputies in Marion County, W.Va. confirmed that a brother, 18, and sister, 21, were the victims of a shooting believed to be related to road rage. Both victims were treated and released on scene, according to WOWK-TV's sister station, WBOY-TV.
Authorities said the shooting happened near I-79 and Rt. 310, but they are still trying to determine the exact location of the incident.
The Marion County Rescue Squad said the shooter was driving a Chrysler Sebring and continued on 1-79 North toward Morgantown after the shooting. The victims pulled off I-79 at the East Park Avenue Exit and ended up at the McDonalds off of Speedway Avenue.
Authorities said the shooter is still on the loose and it is unclear if the victims knew the shooter personally.
