Toyota workers and their family members put their best foot forward to help find a cure for cancer in Putnam County Saturday
Our own Nicky Walters was there too, as the American Cancer Society "Relay for Life" event took place outside of the Toyota plant.
Nicky recently dealt with her own battle with cancer and had her reasons for showing her support
"From the time that I found out that I had cancer, it was really important to speak out and be one of those voices that educates the community. This was just a continuation of that. Just because my treatment is over doesn't mean the message should stop," said Walters.
The Toyota plant raised $2,500 for the American Cancer Society. Workers will be collecting money throughout the month to donate as well.
