GW's Crouser out for the remainder of the season with ACL injury

George Washington fullback/linebacker Dustin Crouser senior season has ended prematurely.

Crouser announced on Tuesday via Twitter that he will miss the rest of the season after tearing his ACL in his  left knee in Saturday's 35-13 loss at Capital.

He left the game for a few plays, but soon returned and played the rest of the game.

GW loses its best run blocker for tailback Ryan Switzer and the Patriots lost one of their best defensive players.

Patriots Head Coach Steve Edwards Jr. confirmed the news to 13 Sports on Tuesday evening and says Crouser with have an MRI on Wednesday.

Recovery time is expected 6-8 months.

George Washington (6-2) is home this Friday vs. St. Francis Desales (Ohio).
